Ingredients

1 package Smoked Sausage

1 tbsp vegetable oil

1/2 cup chopped small onion

2 cup vegetable or chicken stock

2 cup cavatappi #87 pasta

3/4 cup cream cheese, cubed

1/2 cup broccoli florets

1/2 cup heavy cream

1 cup shredded sharp white cheddar

Salt, pepper, chili crisp to taste

Directions

Cut sausage into ½” diagonal slices. Heat the oil in a large 10in skillet and pan-fry sausage slices until browned, 5-6 minutes. Remove and set aside.

Add the onions and stir until the onions soften, 2 minutes.

Stir in the stock and cream cheese, continue stirring until cream cheese dissolves. Bring to a boil.

Add the pasta. Cover the pan and cook for 5 minutes.

Stir pasta, add cooked sausage back in, broccoli, heavy cream and cheddar cheese and cook for another 6-7 minutes until the pasta and broccoli are tender.

Season with salt and pepper to taste. Top with extra cheese and chili crisp, if desired.
