With Hillshire Farm® Turkey Smoked Sausage, onion, pepper and creamy mustard sauce, this warm pita bread wrap is perfect with little preparation.
1 package Turkey Smoked Sausage
2 tsp vegetable oil
1 onion, cut into thin wedges
1 green or red bell pepper, cut into strips
6 whole-wheat pita bread rounds
Sauce:
1/3 cup plain non-fat yogurt
1/3 cup non-fat sour cream
1 tbsp spicy brown mustard
1 small clove garlic, minced
1/8 tsp ground black pepper
Cut sausage into ¼” slices. Heat oil in large non-stick skillet over medium-high heat until hot. Add sausage, onion and pepper; cook, stirring frequently for 6-7 minutes or until vegetables are tender.
While sausage mixture is cooking, combine Sauce ingredients in small bowl.
Warm pita bread according to package directions. Top each pita with 2/3 cup of sausage mixture and drizzle with about 2 tablespoons of sauce.
